Creating Youtube videos can be great fun as well as a good way to direct traffic to your website and gain a very valuable backlink. This is given further value as youtube videos are comparatively easy to make and upload. I have personally created a few videos on a range of topics, from the monsters of Silent Hill to a fix for the Dungeon Keeper 2 crashes and the articles which they link to are probably the best performers on my website. The software I used to create my videos included Windows Movie Maker, which comes free with Windows, Camstudio which allowed me to record desktop footage and Audacity which is a great, free software for editing audio and recording voice.
